Value Is Top Sales Feature at New
Robino Community in Bear

For more than half a century, Frank Robino Companies has been building affordable housing for Delawareans. Today, nearly 20,000 homebuyers later, the company’s focus is on traditional single-family homes for first-time and move-up buyers –– in other words, homes where built-in value is just as much an element of the builder’s specs as the front façade or the floorplan.
Robino’s newest community, Wynnefield Hunt, is an enclave of only 127 homes, tucked behind the Leasure elementary school, just south of Rt. 40 in Bear. Isolated from traffic noise, the community is just minutes from the convenient shopping centers at the junctions of Rtes. 7 and 40.
And the homes are very much in the Robino tradition –– stylish and appealing from the streetscape, and efficient and highly livable inside. You’ll find plenty of standard features and amenities in these homes, but none of the expensive frills that add to the price, but don’t contribute to the value.
The community is so new that the planned decorated builder’s model is still under construction. Since prospective homebuyers can’t see a sample home yet, that may sound like bad news. But there’s a silver lining inside that cloud: the homes at Wynnefield Hunt are still being offered at very attractive pre-construction prices, offering potential savings of thousands of dollars for savvy early buyers.
The portfolio of designs features six distinctive styles –– five traditional two-story homes with three or four bedrooms, and a terrific three-bedroom ranch design incorporating a surprising amount of living space. The designs are all stylish and attractive, featuring brick accents, with delightful architectural detailing to assure interesting and attractive streetscapes.
Best of all, the price range begins well under $200,000. Even the gorgeous top-of-the-line Manchester II, chosen to be the builder’s model (and pictured here), is priced under $240,000.
The key factor, of course, is the built-in value, not the cost, of these excellent homes. All six designs feature full basements, and all but one style has a two-car garage. All have 9-foot main-floor ceilings, hardwood foyers and 2-1/2 baths (two full baths in the ranch).
In all the styles, a cathedral or tray ceiling is standard in the owners’ bedroom, and the adjoining private bath is a posh five-piece superbath, also at no extra cost. Also standard in each design is a spacious family room or greatroom.

The featured design, the Manchester II, offers a dramatic two-story foyer with a turned staircase. The formal living and dining rooms are arranged front-to-back, and the spacious island kitchen is open to both a generous breakfast nook and the convenient family room. Large windows across the rear façade assure that the most active living areas of the home –– kitchen and family room –– are also the brightest and airiest.
The owners’ suite is also spacious, and the three family bedrooms are above average in size. One includes a large sitting area over the garage that could be a playroom or computer area, or even a home office.
